This week I’m on assignment in Franschhoek, and since I’m taking so many photos that’ll probably never get used, I thought I’d share a few places with you. Franschhoek is only 80km from Cape Town and it’s probably the best place to hang out if you like fine dining and wining. It’s not called the Cape’s gourmet capital for now reason.
Seeing as the weather isn’t quite playing along, my first stop was a lovely breakfast spot called Café Bon Bon. It’s situated on La Petite Dauphine Guest Farm and they exist for the soul purpose of spoiling their customers with delicious breakfasts, lunches and freshly baked cakes. They strike a great balance between the crispy white table clothes that you see all around town and a homely, warm feel thanks to the fireplace in the corner and the rustic washed walls.
My eggs benedict were absolutely fantastic, and so was the coffee.
